Deal of the Day!!!!
 

My LQS is changing ownership, so their last few days they have been selling everything left at 85% off!
I got 7 metres of batik, 2 m of print and 2 seam rippers for $22.00! The batik is perfect for a backing for a quilt I'm planning.

Anything that is left after today, the LQS is donating to charity quilt makers, which I think is very nice of them.

After all, I have the Farmers Parade of Lights to be at in just a few short hours!!!

Might I ask which store it is?
It saddens me, as the ones in your area have definitely been favourites of mine,
even if I could not get to them often.

What do you know of the new owners and their plans?
(being that they are not buying the inventory)

The shop isn't closing, it's been purchased by a new owner who will re-open in January.

Thanks Watson ... I feared it might be the end of Shirley's time at the store. :(
I wish her well in her retirement, and hope that she can truly enjoy this next phase of her life.

I always appreciated Shirley's helpfulness and knowledge when I made it there,
and was totally envious of those like you who could frequent her store.
The store had its own special charm in such a historic building and scenic location.
I hope the new owner(s) can keep that, while putting their own personal touches in place.
What a challenge they will have! Good Luck to them!

One of my very favourite shops although it's far enough away that it has become a once-a-year visit. I have found wonderful bargains there in the past and hope to find many more with the new ownership! Sure hope they don't take away those metal ceilings and the wonderful old general store atmosphere.

SCORE..for your. but sad to see another LQS bite the dust. I try very hard to shop local so they stay open.
