Twiddletails -

I just looked at your That Quilt Blog (Please correct it to make it accessible)
and you had some really nice photos and instructions.

For free.

Here is the link our Dear Jane group uses. Lots of great tips on how to assemble blocks. You don't have to buy anything or sign up. Just FREE info.

when the links come from someone who doesn't have a vested interest in the business it isn't advertising.

the owner of TT used the online store name as her user name, then she used the store logo as her avartar, and then she put up 2 posts out of like 9 steering people to her online company.

this is taking advantage of admin, there is a mechanism to advertise here and that should be pointed out to her so she can either stop or pay the ad fees.

it shouldn't be okay for her to take advantage of admin and the forum rules.

she may not have known it was wrong so i pointed it out to her so she can make an informed decision in the future.

it costs admin and the people that assist him real time and money to run this forum and it is wrong for the users to abuse its function.

I'm taking my adventures with Jane to my Diary section.

I want to see if I can more or less replicate her designs "on my own" - using folded paper, circular objects, and a straight-edge - without the aid of software or looking at how someone else did it.

I will "cheat" by using a rotary cutter and an acrylic ruler to get the 1/4" seam allowances to cut around the pieces and by using a 4.5 inch finished size for all the blocks and I might resort to a ruler now and then, too.

Ninnie - you suggested that I do sort of journal/log of this - so I decided "why not?"

It was really thoughtful of you to ask via PM if it was okay to post the picture of the quilt. I thought it was helpful and informative of you to do so.

Comments and conversation on "my" diary are welcome. Please come and visit.
