I just recieved my dj book and was wondering if any one has done or seen one done in greens. I'm a little afraid of this one.

Read through the two active Dear Jane threads on here. You will see lots of amazing blocks!

check out bearisgray's PDA. She has some great info on DJs.

This is a sampler quilt... I think doing it in greens would be awesome!!! One of the swaps here is using christmas fabrics, and I think there is also another one in blues? Check out the Member's Swap section of the board and see what our member's are doing with them.
There is bearisgray's PDA she is breaking down many of the blocks and info is available in the other swaps/sew a long DJ threads in the Swap section too.
You can always post questions here too, on any block

I just jumped in the pool with the rest of you. This looks like fun and a very good winter project. Yes, we have winter in Florida. It's on Tuesday and Wednesday, the second week in February. We even had snow one time. Let's see.......when was that?

Do we have to join this Dear Jane group? I have fabrics for half of the blocks and just need a push to get started!

There is a Group for Jane_A_Stickle_Embroidery_Quilt_Blocks on Google and a Dear Jane Group. I will have to get the info on it and they are most helpful.

You might want to go to DEARJANE.com and join the mailing list.

Thanks for the ideas...I have looked at the Dear Jane web site but did not see the mailing list.

It's on the left side in alphabetical order. Mailing Lists.

Good luck in your DJ.

check out the virtual section here called "the Jane A. Stickle" or something along those lines. We have 80 (more or less) people working on a Dear Jane, week by week, and having fun helping and encouraging each other! Feel free to play with us, as much or as little as you like!

you don't have to join any group anywhere if you don't want to.

i can't keep up with a group on this quilt. i make my blocks in spurts and pick them at random. it all depends on the method i'm in the mood for. (some are applique. some are easiest for me to do using rotary cut and piecing. some are easier for me if i use fussy cut templates. the rest i'm paper piecing. there's no rhyme or reason to it. i'm just in a different groove on different days.)

whether you're in a group or not, you can still peek at the progress of one or all of the groups around the net. whenever i've left mine alone too long i check out the pics at this board. it inspires me to get back to it to knock out a few more.
