Good Morning! I was wondering if any of you decorate your homes with quilts? I have a couple older quilts, and a few of my new ones that I would like to display. I have mostly antique oak furniture and love the look of antiques and quilts together. I would love to see some of the creative ways others display or decorate with their quilts. :D

yes,I hang them all over. Have quilted runners on tables. Quilts on all the beds. I love being able to see my work around the house, at least those I do not gift.

Me too. Just love them, every size and shape. Have two curtain rods with decorative finials on one wall and change them for different seasons or when I finish one I want to display.

I use ladders. I have an old one that was my grandfather's that's 10 ft tall and has a few quilts folded on each rung. I also have a bunk-bed ladder that I found in my neighbor's trash. It's on the landing at the bottom of the stairs and holds small quilts. I also have them on the backs of couch and love seat, on window seat, and hanging on walls. Hmm--didn't realize I have so many until you asked and I looked around LOL!!

Just a warning: if you use wooden dowels or ladders, put a towel or acid free paper between the quilt and the wood.

I needed color on a plain white wall quick before a family dinner so here is what I did. It is king size but falls behind the sofa.:)

Seems like I remember a book from the 1990s by Phylis George about decorating with quilts. Now there are many I see when I google the subject, "Decorating with quilts".

One thing I'd like to do in my sewing room is to take an orphan block and wrap it around a frame like an artist canvas. I'm search garage sales this summer for plain frames.:)
