I made a denim quilt years ago. I just sewed it like normal blocks. As the years went on the seams freyed and it started to pull apart. I have patched it the best I could but it is a unwinable battle. I will serge the next one.

I made a denim rag quilt not to long ago. I wanted it really raggy so I put 2 layers of flannel in between the backing (used a cotton print) and the denim. Also on the outside edge, I did a binding of sorts, but instead of it being a clean finish, I ragged it too! It's the one quilt that the kids fight over.. they like the heavyness(sp?) of it.
