I got really lucky and bought a large bag of precut denim & flannel 6" squares. I'd like to make a rag quilt out of these for my son, but don't want to create something that will keep on shedding strings, etc.
He's diabetic and doesn't need anything that makes it harder to keep things looking neat, but I think he would love a denim rag quilt.

Advice needed, please...

I am making a flannel/denim rag quilt right now for my grandson, I don't think it would be hard to keep neat after the first wash.

I did one a few years back. No problem with continual shedding after the initial washing and drying. Have fun with it and post a picture when you finish.

I have been saving up denim for one of these too. :)

I have made one and never had shedding.

Thanks for your input re shedding... I'll probably get this done sometime before Christmas!

So how hard is it to make a denim quilt versus a cotton quilt?? Do you break alot of needles??
