Is anybody else going to the Denver quilt show this weekend? I'll be there saturday. I probably won't carry a purse to tie a ribbon to though.

Denver is so beautiful this time of year. Used to vacation out there as a kid.

I hope you're able to take a camera to share your adventure with those of us who can't be there. :D

Have a wonderful time and hope you come across some great bargains.

I hope to get there. Early this time. When the Rocky mtn sew expo was there i almost never found a spot to park!

Ooo it sounds like fun!!! You could wear a red ribbon in your hair :D:D:D

Yes, it will be my first quilt show and I am very excited. My husband and son are going with me. I think it is to keep me from spending too much money no other reason. LOL!

Are you expecting snow any day soon?

Where is the show held?

If I still lived there, I would go.

GrammaNan 04-27-2010 07:14 PM

Yes, it supposed to be 80 degrees tomorrow and rain/snow on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It will be mostly rain and little accumulation. A little water won't keep me from the show. LOL!

It is being held at the Merchandise Mart. It is a great venue for this type of show I think.

Merchandise Mart is a great place to hold it. Went to many a show there from jewelry to gems.

Have fun.

I'm hoping it'll be cool enough outside that it doesn't get so hot in the Mall. I think my girlfriend and I were both dying from it being so hot last year.

Me too! Country Christmas, Gun Shows (with by dad and brothers) RV shows, Sewing Guild etc. I feel better going somewhere when I am in familiar surroundings. It sounds like you miss Denver a little bit.

It should be cool with the rain and all. The parking will still be the issue. I have a handicap placard and I still usually end up hiking it. By hiking I mean, walking really really slow. Oh well, it will be worth it.

I've spent a lot of time in Denver in spite of never having lived there. My in laws lived there for several years and my best friend lives there now. I pretty much know my way around the eastern side of town and can find most every thing I want.

GrammaNan 04-27-2010 07:25 PM

It's too bad that you won't be here this weekend  Maybe they will be back next year and you can schedule a visit.

I'll be there Saturday. Want to get there early because you are right, the parking is awful
