I have searched and searched for a free pattern of the depression block quilt in queen size to no avail. Can any of you ladies help me with this? The quilt I'm making is for my mother and I would like to have it ready by her birthday in December. Thank you, Jeanette

What are you wanting to do? Quilterscache has a 1930 block that is a 12" or she also has several blocks from that era that you can make a sampler quilt.

You can change the size of the block by simply changing the size of the HST. There are 4 HST's across each Depression Block. A queen quilt is usually about 86 x 93. Decide how many blocks across you want and that will determine the size of the block. Then each HST will have to be 1/4 th of each block + 1/2 inch for seam allowance.

Hope this helps some.

I guess I should have stated block size.. I think it would look nice with 10 inch blocks? I would go smaller if it makes it look that much more dynamic. I really do appreciate all of your help. ( :
