I think it's pillow panels, possibly she's buying them that have already been cut, at estate sales.

You could frame them and make quilt tops or put sashing between to make tops or throws out of them, make wall hangings, purses, tote bags, etc. Depends a lot on the type of fabric these squares are.

Sounds like fabric panels is what you're describing. They come in all types of fabric for upholstery, fleece, jersey and cotton for quilting. Depending on what fabric they are--wallhangings, table toppers, dresser scarves, quilts, almost anything.

Try searching for big quilt blocks or medallion quilts if you're thinking about turning them into a throw or bed-size quilt. Basically you cut out the panel and make borders around it until it reaches the size you want.

Try different manufacturer's web sites. Many of them have a section with free patterns. They show different ways of using these :D:D:D

Those ducks would make a very nice quilt for a duck hunter! I would cut them out--losing squiggly lines and flowers--and put a wide plaid sashing between them. Then maybe a round of bear paw or log cabin blocks around that or both--maybe even a Flying Geese border.

Those are some really neat panels you found!

Thanks for the idea, sounds good, I only have the four. The bear claws sound good. Would I then need to put a border. As you can tell I'm a newbie.
The other ones are thicker material and I have more of them. Was thinking maybe place mats, but they are so pretty I would rather have them in a quilt.
