WHEW! I thought I was alone with the scrappy look!!!! To make it look less scrappy and a bit more coordinated, you might be able to cluster similar colored hearts on the same block...

I am thinking there has to be one in every group, eh??..or a couple...lol.. As it would be tied together with the heart theme and some of the fabrics...what about making squares of each design? Or of 2 of the designs?? Either way, it will be a lovely quilt.

I like #2 best... The first one looks more like a four leaf clover to me, but they all look amazing!

OK, this is what I had in mind. Each block would have 4 hearts of one color. the hearts would not be touching at the point (it will look less like a shamrock).

A rough layout

I have seen it in different ways but I must say I like #1 best. Very pretty. I could envision a whole quilt in those two fabrics (red/white).

Though the first one is lovely I'd have to go for the second only because of the different possibilities it could encourage you to try.

I like the first with the same color
Have a Blessed day

I really like the second one! The first one is too predictable for me.... :)

I tend to like things constant but if I wanted to stir items up a bit and reduce my scrap bag, I would take many different fabrics and cut hearts. From there I would split them down the center and mix, mix and mix up the sides until I there were beautiful scrappy hearts. Applique them on a constant background and wala...scrappy quilt for Valentine's Day or someone to say hello.
