But you all will! We both had the weekend off (which is rare as DH is in retail management), so we decided to go to the mountains of NW GA for the weekend. We couldn't get away from home until after 4:00 on Friday. We head down I-85 South (so who has figured out where this is going? lol)... and decided to stop at Concord Mill area for dinner since traffic was backing up. We eat and head back out... and around 7:00 PM I look over to the left and what do I see? Mary Jo's!!!!! Of course, it is closed. We have a nice weekend in GA and head home Sunday and I had to go right back by AGAIN with the store closed! UGH!!!! I haven't been to Mary Jo's yet, so I really don't know what I was missing, but still I was distressed. DH thinks I'm nuts...lol. I just wanted to lament among friends who would feel my pain.
So, I think I may have to take a little road trip back to Gastonia this Saturday while DH is working :-D |
OH you just have to go to Mary Jo's sometime soon!
Going tomorrow! Can't wait! |
I understand your pain, and Yes, you should that a weekend road trip.
It's worth the trip!! One time I went to NC to see my daughter & family (live in Spruce Pine), we stopped in Gastonia at Mary Jo's and spent about an hour or so. It wasn't long enough!! But we had DSIL & the kids, so it was hard to spend longer. Next time we go back I'm planning to go there again. What a great fabric shop it is!! Tons and tons of quilting cottons....and the prices are great!!!

yes you must go
You'll have to get up early, so that you can spend the day drooling(but enjoy). :) :)
I would have probably had him drop me off with a blanket and slept there until they open! You are in for the time of your life!
Sorry doubled up!
Yes, do go. It is worth the trip. Notions and fabric as far as the eye can see! and then you turn the corner and there is MORE.
LOL and by going back this weekend you can spend more time inside the store, without DH pacing outside  :D:D:D
