Di Ford books

Has anyone here ever looked at one of the Di Ford 'Primarily Quilting' books? I'm wondering how extensive the directions are, or if you pretty much have to know how to do everything. Thanks!

I had not heard of her before (that I know of), so had to look her up. She has collections at Andover Fabrics. If you click on the collection there may be a free pattern. At least you can find out some of her techniques. I ran out of time, but did find these: https://www.andoverfabrics.com/Grid....leswick%20Mill

Thanks for introducing her. Love her patterns.

Yes. there is a lovely free pattern on Andovers web site, but not the incredible patterns that appear to be in her books.
I see more research for her In MY future now! Amazing work! Make sure you post any quilts you make from her book.

I'm in love with her wedding sampler quilt in her first book. She owns a quilt store in Australia and has access to a lot of fabric. She is very talented. I love her work.

I really like Di Ford's quilts. I have not read any of her books so I don't know how extensive the directions are, sorry. Right now she has a mystery quilt going on in the magazine Quiltmania. Measurements are given in inches and centimeters. So far, out of 6 blocks 5 are applique using different techniques ...... reverse applique, needle turn and broderie perse ....... the last block is a combination of piecing and applique. The directions are extensive with tips you can find by going to the Quiltmania website. There are 3 more parts left in this mystery.
