Diagonal stripes for a border???

Has anyone here ever used diagonal striped fabric for a border? If so, do you have pictures? How did it work out?

There was a quilt with diagonal stripe sashing and borders (going the right way) across a whole quilt a couple of weeks ago. It looked great but I bet it was hard to do!
found it...Finished a BOM quilt and it was posted by psumom

I saw a table runner that had the white and red diagonal on the outside border. I would once the quilt top is finished lay it out and see if it looks like what you want to happen.

Not something I would want to do.

I think it would look AWESOME!

I'm new to this, but I think a "tube" border would make things interesting. Maybe of the same fabric as the quilt, only in diagonal strips.

I put a diagonal strip border on a quilt, and I really liked it.

I've used striped fabric for binding, but never as sashing. I think it would add "p-zaazz". Hope you share a photo when you're done.

I keep striped fabrics on hand for putting narrow borders in kids quilts. I even have some circus stripe (primary colors) that runs on the diagonal. I love adding stripes for accents. Sorry, don't have any pictures.
