Did Mary Fons pass away?
 

Fons and Porter is on our TV right now - on PBS - I did not get into the TV room at the very first but my DH was eating his breakfast and he said that on the bottom of the screen it said "In loving memory of Mary Fons".

I just tried to Google Mary Fons but did not get any "news"

Hope this isn't true.

Just checked her FB site and she posted something Apr. 24.

I doubt the show was current enough to have a memory of her attached? I sure hope this isn't true.

Mary Fons is the daughter, are you asking about Maryanne Fons her mom? I googled and did not find anywhere that she passed away.

Could have been a grandmother or aunt.

My DH said that the "notice" on the bottom of the TV screen said "Mary Fons" - not Maryanne. Hope it is not true.

I've only found things on quilts for some who passed away. Not any of the Fon's family members.

I didn't see anything on the Southern CA PBS station this morning, but then the show was about flannel which I hardly ever use. They are running reruns on the 2300 series. Also I was piecing some blocks together so I was more listening then watching.

Mary Fons posted an item 15 minutes ago, so it looks like she's okay.

I am not sure but we are hoping is was a mistake.
