I *thought* I saw on here a way to use strips to make four-patches BUT you sewed down the outer edges or something. I've strained my brain to try to figure it out myself, so does anyone know where I saw this or how to do it. Somehow, you just ended up cutting the long, connected strips and voila! four patches.
Thank in advance!

check out Eleanor Burns' website. that's the method she uses.

awesome, I will do that. Will let you know if it's there.
I have several of her books- but obviously haven't used them much :)

Billie Lauder shows a cool method on QuiltersTV. It works best for scrappy four patches.

I remember seeing on here somewhere, but didn't bookmark it.

I think the Missouri Quilt Company has a tutorial on it, too.

Her method is cool for using squares like charm square packs or scraps, but the one I know I saw...........used two long strips and I just remember the outer edges being sewn (somewhat like she calls her tube, but this was width of fabric length strips somehow done this way, and you just cut and got four patches).
