Thanks for all the suggestions. D you think it will be hard to guesstimate where to put the label on the backing if I am long arm quilting? Otherwise the triangle idea sounds good because I wouldn't necessarily have to hand sew:) thanks everyone:)

I print my own labels [I put the tute on the QB] and incorporate them into the quilt backing usually. When I just do a label then I will use a glue stick to keep it in place as I stitch it down ... don't do this much though as I prefer incorporating the label into the backing.

I really like to machine embroidery the label on the quilt back before quilting the quilt sandwich. I spread my top over the backing and mark where I want the label to be embroideried.

Thanks so much for the great tip. I will try that on my next label.

I use the Printed Treasures, then attach fusable to the back. Cut with pinking shears to prevent raveling (there's minimal anyway). Iron to the back. DONE!!!

The fastest that I've seen is fused to the back before pinbasting, then zig zagged or machine blanket stitched to give it a finished look. Of course, this means that you have to FINISH it the same year (since most of us put the year finished on it), but you could always leave that part blank and write in the finish year with a Pigma Pen. If you don't like the feel of fusibles, use the wash out kind.

I usually embroider it on a piece of fabric and incoprate it on two side when I put the binding on then I just have a small area to do the hand sewing. You could embroider the label right on the backing I have also done that.
