Three more, hopefully not all planning to get married close together!

WOW to both of those!

I'm a proud Navy mom as well! (2 sons and a 3rd soon)

They are both gorgeous quilts and it took me a little bit to realize the hearts entwined on the second - perfect for a wedding.

The quilt you made is gorgeous! I can't wait to see the new one.

Your quilt for your older son and his bride is gorgeous, but for a young couple I think the heart Bargello is fabulously fun and optimistic and I can see when your DIL2B chose that one. I would have picked it too!

They are both beautiful patterns. You did a wonderful job on the first one. Can't wait to see the second one.

I'm working on my first bargello (for me!) and have most of the fabric for one for my son and fiancee but haven't started it yet. They may not get it on actual wedding day! I found with both the hardest part is getting the right fabrics to get the design you really want. Mine is blues and yellows with little bit of light green--if(make that when!) I get it finished I will post. Son and future DIL wanted green/tans/blues (him) and teals/violet-red (her) so hunting down ones that work. I was given a couple of tips that really helped with piecing mine--use post-its to cover the rows on the pattern that are done (moving them as you go), have a strip of samples by the machine with the fabric number written on them so you can double check the pattern along the way, press the crud out of the strip sets, when you make the strip sets start with the center strips first and add on either side as you go so it doesn't stretch, and have fun! I also was given a piece of red plastic to view the fabrics I picked through to check to see if I got the right gradients of color values to make it bargello!

Both are awesome patterns, I love the Bargello style of quilting, ofcourse that would be my dream quilt to do.

I showed the top one to my son and said I would make him one as well if he would FINALLY marry the lovely gal he's been with for 10 years! He said it would be worth it for the quilt! Ha
