Disappearing 9 patch colors?

Are all of the patches in the same color group or can I use scraps and make the quilt all different colors? Where would I find quilt pictures using this method?

You can use whatever colors you want. Just keep in mind the center block will be cut into quarters, and the center side blocks will be in half, and the corner blocks will be whole, so that may help you decide where to place certain colors or prints.

You can do them however you feel like doing them. It's a very versatile pattern.

You can make them out of any colors you want. I tend to use just three colors because I like the way they make a pattern when sewn together. Here is the one I'm working on now.
