Wow! There are a lot of places for this, but just because I have one that's different (with a nice tut), go to:

Love your blue quilt and how it went together! Now, how do you quilt one of these? I'm not so much into free motion or long arm quilting but would do this either by hand or on my home machine.

You will love this pattern! I made one and can't wait to make another one. Super easy and it looks really cool once it is done.

Hi Eiltocq

I had nine shades of blue and placed the five dark ones in the middle and in the four corners, the rest the lighter shades of blue.
As I needed 100 Patches I placed every one of the darker blue 25 times in the middle so it would end up as those little squares.
Hope this is understandable and thanks for the compliments.

I am handquilting with an 8" stencil "Tulipblock" with a dark blue quilting thread (85 blocks to go......) and it looks great to me:-)
Cant think of handling such a large quilt with the machine and love handquilting.

OH...what a nice PLANNED scrappy quilt for the extra materials left over from one of my projects

Oooooh--would love to see a close up of the quilting when you get a chance. I love to handquilt and this is so pretty! Blue is my favorite color anyhow and this is really special.

You can look and look for information on a pattern or instructions or whatever by yourself and never find what you are looking for. Or you can ask the question HERE on this site and get help from colors, directions, patterns and etc. from so many people. I wanted to know about the pattern and look how much information we all have learned. This is what makes this site so much fun. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!

Hi Illinois

I made the closeup........but consider that this is my first attempt at quilting something else but straight lines
Maybe I will make a picture again at the 100th block.

Absolutely gorgeous. Your quilting is fantastic. What a treasure! First I loved your colors and fabric choices but your hand quilting is perfection. Thanks for sharing with us.
