Is there any cure for a big 6 x 24 inch Plastic Ruler used with my Rotary cutter, whose number markings have worn off? I bought it about 8 years ago, it is a Dritz. It has seen a lot of use in these years. Help.

Lets see-in quilt ruler years--tha's about 80 years old!! What a loyal and trustworthy companion she's been! Maybe a nice retirement party, followed by a new and younger model (on sale at Joann's for 50% off!). Use the old gal for cutting jobs that don't require her numerical brain! LOL I've had mine about that long, too!

When you get your new one, put Invisigrip on the back. Not only does it help with slipping, but it keeps the numbers from wearing off.

I used a fine tip marker and touched up the lines.

Great idea-I'd better try that before mine wear off, too!
