Happens to me all the time, but by time I finish the project it has grown on me. I think both pictures look great!

I like the darker color in the second picture. It gives it more color. I think your dark border will change how it looks too. :-)

I like the the pop of color in the 2nd one.

I think maybe it is the layout of the squares since they don't "follow" a pattern that might be what you think is "off". Flip them around a few times so the pinks aren't all touching in some areas and see what you think.

Of course rolling it up for awhile sounds soooo tempting too.

You could try playing around with different arrangements for your blocks. Are you committed to setting them on point? What about trying them out with a wide sashing between them?

I think that possibly the thing you are not liking is that the brown is high contrast, while the other fabrics are rather blended, so you end up focusing on the randomly placed chunks of brown. The fabrics are lovely, the idea of using large pieces is good, given the fabric line. You have all the elements there for a very pleasing quilt. Maybe just play around with the blocks some more to see if different arrangements make you happier.

Yeah, I know...no help at all. I like the second picture better....but the quilt is yours. You need to make it work for you.

How about (I'll see if I can explain this): Use the idea with the green around the edges. Inside each of the green pieces, place a triangle of the raspberry. Place the raspberry pointed inward and up against the edge of the quilt.

Yes, it does happen that you aren't crazy about what you have started. I think we all have that happen. But....if you really don't like it, I can give you my snail mail address and you can send it on over! I really like it.
When it comes to the setting triangles - why not use both colors. It gives the rest more color and I think it looks great like that.

I have one right now that is getting scraped and re use the fabric, just not feeling it any more.

I like the lighter color better and I think if you add a brown border it will be one beautiful quilt... Don't give up on it. If you don't like the finished product, you can always donate it to charity. I know someone would love to own this lovely quilt.
