SVS, been there, done that!!!

I agree with Amma, I always spray baste if quilting on my machine. Prefer to rent the longarm at my LQS and this takes a lot of pressure off my mind. Good luck, hope it all works out for you.

I ran out of backing with the quilt 95% quilted on the HQ16. Somehow I mis sized the back. What could I do at that point. I just trimmed all the boarders down to match the smallest size. Now I fold and refold several times before loading in on the HQ. I turned out to be one of my favorite quilts.

I had the same thought.

I cheat and just sew a piece the size I need to add, no way would I take all the pins out and start over. I don't always have more of the backing. I hate piecing back fabric anyway, just a necessary evil.

yup I'd be growling in disappointment too!
warm quilt hugs, sue in CA |
Oh yeah--did that before. On the same quilt, I sewed all the binding on backwards--withthe raw ended facing in! Never sew when tired. I was glad to give that quilt away. Never want to see it again.

I use Pinmoors too! I really love them. They will last my lifetime
