Wow! Those are neat ideas. I have been thinking lately about doing a headboard for the guest bedroom. I love that idea. The ladder idea is very cute, too.
Thanks for sharing. |
Ohh...I love it.

That headboaard is so adorable.....
I already wrote to my daughter and gave her that suggestion for the new bed she is buying.and I told her that it is cheaper... 'cause mom can make it for her..... |
I use an old/old 9 foot ladder to display quilts in my living room. I really like how ladders look with colorful quilts on them.
I love the Ladder on the wall!! but I do have about 4 wooden quilt hangers

That first picture I had for years just waiting to have a ladder like it.....this last year my father in-law built me one. My Mickey quilt sits on it.
I like the ladder idea.
Great idea! I just posted a 'wanted' on my local freecycle for a wood ladder, back can be missing or broken. Wonder if someone will let me know they have one to give away.
very cool pictures.

Such cute ideas.
what a great idea! I want a piesafe type of furniture to display my quilts - but can't afford the prices. I like your idea.
Luv new ideas, thank you for sharing.

Quilts are art and beautify our homes.
i had a great ladder for quilts. dh thought it looked just like a string-bean trellis. guess where it is now. one guess.
Love the old ladder!! Will be on the lookout for one of those.
I also love the look of the old ladder, but does anyone know how you could seal it and still keep the weathered, peeling-paint look? I wouldn't want to put my quilts on the ladder as is. I gues one idea would be to put some fabric or another barrier between the folded quilt and the ladder, but are there paint products that would do the trick?
i would rest the quilt on acid-free paper placed between it and the ladder. there are fixatives available, but i don't know what the long-term effects on the quilt would be. i don't think you want to varnish the ladder or even wax it.
thanks love those ideas
