DIY Machine Quilting Frames
I've been doing some research lately about making or buying a home sewing machine quilting frame. I am wondering if anyone has a Ken Lund Quilting Frame, or something similar, and could share any tips or reviews? I saw in the archives here on QB that there were some discussions about his frames back in 2010-2012. Any updates? Or didn't they work and were gotten rid of?
I also saw on YouTube a video of a women whos husband made her a frame for approximately $75-$100. Has anyone tried something similar? He is now selling the plans for $20, and I am sorely tempted to give it a try! Thank you so much for any suggestions! |
NZquilter, Ken Lund has a newer one listed on ebay. It looks interesting, made out of PVC pipe! Anyone here know anything about it? Let us know.

I'd love to have an update too please!

It looks like Ken turned over the kits business to his son, a couple of years ago. https://machine-quilting-frames.blogspot.com/
There are still some youtube videos from over 10 years ago about them. I used this link and the first four or five were for the videos. The link is so long that I made the words "this link" the link. I you click on the blue underlined words "this link" it will take you to the google search I did. There is a search function in the upper right of this page and I noticed there are several threads here on Quilting Board about "Ken Lund quilting frames" Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.
