I've had mine for years and love it....now the mats could be better, I've replaced mine a couple of times...For the price I would think that they could come up with a better mat, otherwise, I absolutely love mine!

I have one and rarely use it, because I can't cut the WOF with it. I have to fold the WOF in half. It's easier to use the rotary cutter.

Thanks for posting this question. I had not seen it before. If you decide to buy it, be sure to give us a report on how you like it.

the quick cutter 2? I think that is the name of it. It holds your fabric in place while you cut it. It also has an arm on it so that you can cut angles easily. I saw one at a quilt show a couple of years ago. I couldn't afford it then. But, I have been looking for one to purchase now. Do any of you have one or recommend it? And, what exactly is it called?

I love mine use it daily and it is not the least bit flimsy. Once you decide to "bite the bullet" you will be glad you did....

I have one and LOVE it! It is great for cutting strips and the way you can angle the ruler to make 45 degree cuts, etc. is fabulous. They are not flimsy at all and when the mat wears out you can get a replacement.

I absolutely love mine. My piecing has improved a lot since I have started using mine.

I have a friend who has one and she swears by it. Says its fast, accurate, and she cuts so much more fabric in less time. I plan to get one before the years end. The reference above by Dottymo is great video of the Alto.
