Well I was looking for a bobbin unsure where they are hiding needed to change thread color.
I had some Dritz Bobbins that looked like mine
I tried them and they fit boy was i excited
You can bouy those at Hancock or other places that have sales for a much lower cost

12 class 15 bobbins
in right cornor it has # 939

Yes I do own a Bernina 1090. I did discover many years ago, after I had first purchased my Bernina, that the Class 15 bobbins fit and worked just fine. That being said, I do not use them in my machine.

I don't know if the dealer was pulling my leg or not, but when I took my machine in for a check up and to be cleaned I had one in the machine and he told me not to use them. He said that they would evenually cause damage to the bobbin case in the machine and the bill for the new case (around $100) would out way the savings of buying the correct bobbins. I never dared to use them after that.

I have however purchased generic bobbins at Joanns and it just so happens I bought a package last week and have them here in front of me. There are 5 in a package and they were on sale for 40% off the regular price of $7. I don't know if they are still on sale this week or not. They are in the notions aisle and state that they are made to the manufacturer's exact specifications. On the bottom front it says they are for 'Bernina free-arm machines' and the back does list the number 1090.
