I do when I'm putting the rows together. The weight seems to start pulling them apart. I have had to go back and sew again so now I just do it all the time.

Before I send a quilt to the LAer I stay stitch around the entire quilt. Saved her alot of headaches. Now that I'm doing my own I will continue doing that.[/quote]
BLESS YOUR HEART!! Wish everyone would do this!! Zebra2, LAQ |

LOL! That makes two of us!! :-P I only backstitch the last border seams, that will be on the outer edge so it doesn't unravel while basting/quilting. :-D |
Thanks for posting this question, EagarBeez. I was thinking of posting this myself.
Great minds think alike! |
Sometimes I will backstitch when I assemble blocks if I know it's an end seam. Usually I forget. I do backstitch borders and when first sewing the binding on.

Almost never when piecing quilts but always on bags or garments.

I piece with a shorter stitch so no back stitching, unless I see a place where it is needed :D:D:D
