Whether I celebrate depends on the quilt and how difficult it was. For me, finished is when the top is finished. I usually do simple quilting or send it out, so I never think of that as difficult. I like doing bindings, so they are always easy. So, my big celebrations are when the piecing was a bear.

Actually, the last thing I pieced was so trying, that I haven't done anything much for several months. I call it my copycat quilt. I just decided to get it out, quilt it and donate it. I copied it from one made by Moira from England. She warned me, but by then I already had the panel. It was not only a bear, but a grizzly bear.

I'll post it when it's finished. It's a great design. I just have to find another way to make it work, as I ended up with two of these panels and have to do it all again.

That will be a celebration if I figure an easier way to make that quilt.

My celebration is internal. I get a huge rush, and sense of accomplishment. Then I step back, and admire my work, and think " I can't believe I made this!" Then I usually note what I would do differently if I made it again, and start second guessing myself!
