I have the opposite problem. I love to use my favorite fabrics. I Love to cut them up and use them. And then if I end up with several favorites I try to shove them all into one thing and sometimes I end up with a bit of a disaster :) I haven't figured out the less is more concept! If one of my favorites is good, two is better and three is GREAT!
Go ahead and use those fabrics ladies! They are not living up to their own potential sitting on a shelf! Its just fabric after all :) And if you put it in a quilt (preferably for yourself :)) you can love them everyday! And the big prints that you don't want to loose make great backing pieces! |
Half of my stash is 'too pretty to cut'...... someday I'll just HAVE TO though.

YES! I had a lovely piece(about 9 yards) of oriental fabric that I just cringed when I thought of cutting it up...so I made a wholecloth quilt out of it and gave it to my daughter. She loves it.(So do I.)

Pretty much all the fabrics I bought at the Lancaster QS this April have 'never to be cut' status; they're just too darn pretty. Sigh. Someday I will get the courage!

I have felt that way about fabric before UNTIL the perfect pattern came along. It said: I WANT TO BE MADE FROM THAT PERFECT FABRIC! ...and I listened.
