The link to the Potato Chip Quilt didn't work for me. I did find these instructions in post #18 of this QB thread:

My go to pattern is WICKED EASY by www.Annie.com.
This was a free pattern and she had it for sale. Her other free pattern and it is still free is WICKEDLY EASIER. You can use FQ or scraps. 12 FW makes a very large lap quilt and you can make the top in one day. |
quiltnutt, that link didn't work for me but this one did: https://www.byannie.com/ . Haven't found the Wickedly Easy or Wickedly Easier quilts on there yet, though.
Edit: Okay, I found the directions for download here: https://www.byannie.com/free-patterns/ |
Use the pattern you like to make and don't feel obligated to do anything else unless you just want to. Life is too short to make quilting or anything like it a chore instead aof a joy! froggyintexas

My favorite is Pickle Relish by Modern Quilt Relish. I've made some modifications to it and and can put the top together in a day. Always comes out happy.
|
Oh, my!!! I *love* the modern Pickle Relish looks and hadn't seen this website before. MUST buy some of these patterns! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here is a link to the website:

D9p just because it looks so different inneach fabric bunch. I also love Tennesse Waltz. Its easy but looks complex. And it works great for scraps.

I have several. Got tired of Yellow Brick Road. Have made at least a hundred of Bits and Pieces, by Mountainpeak, made probably 20 Flim Flam by Pressed for Time quiltworks and another 15 or so Mouse Traps. Also have made at least 20 Warm Wishes as well as many many 4 patch with a square quilts for our NICU and QFKhttps://www.mountainpeekcreations.com/patterns.aspx

I have made so many quilt using the " Ten Minute Block" Love this one.
|
Irish chain seems to be my go to but that said I am constantly trying something new to expand my skills.
|
I have two favorites - Magic Nine Patch and Magic Trip Around the world. Both are strip pieced. Go together really fast.

I don't enjoy doing anything but PPing any more. Doesn't matter the pattern as long as it is paper piecing!
|
I have made several quilt patterns more than once or twice. I have made so many quilts that I would have to make some small quilts. Other than baby quilts I don't like to make small quilts. For me just using different fabrics and colors changes it enough to suit me.
|
I've never made the same pattern. I have enough patterns to stock a small store, this is a fact that I'm happy about and also sad that I spent so much money over the years; that said, I love trying new things each time.

My absolute favorite pattern is the Dresden Plate. It's just beautiful and very feminine to me. I've also enjoyed the D4P and have made 2 quilts so far using that pattern. Currently, I'm building a Garden Lattice using Eleanor Burns tutorial and loving that one too! Next will be a Bargello since I have gathered enough fabrics for one. I also love adding appliques to break up the busy patterns.

I love the obw for big print fabrics. They are always different and the fabric inspires me.

I have never done the same thing twice. I always try to learn something new with each quilt I make so make something different. I also get easily bored doing the same thing over and over. I really like sampler quilts for that reason but also do other type quilts.

I make many comfort quilts each year. My go to is "Shirley's Quilt" that I designed in memory of a member of our guild who passed away. Free pattern is at my friend's blog http://b-quilts.com/blog/?p=4738. I cut my scraps into 3 1/2 x 6 1/2 and keep them organized (and flat) in a drawer. I can whip one out in no time and each quilt looks different because I use different scraps and different sashing.

I have approximately 500,000 patterns at my fingertips but often want to just make a quick and easy quilt. Currently like 9-patch patterns the most, especially on point.
