This is my spot . The funny thing is I can't remember how I got here but I'm here now and I love it.
|
no I mean the ones where a person writes a daily entry about her quilting...like a diary online..this is absolutly my favorite place to come chat and look at stuff but the ones I am talking about are ladies that have there own little blog spots you know what I mean?....
heres an example..... http://hannequilt.blogspot.com try her site shes very creative and very talented with quilting...I go to her blogspot everday to see what shes sewing next.... |
I'v tried them but was not interested in them.
|
I'm embarrassed to ask this but... what does blog mean??
|
don't be embarrassed, I've heard but don't remember! LOL
somebody will tell us soon I'm sure |
blog is an abbreviation for web log.
It is a diary posted on the world wide web. |
My all time favorite is a lady named Gwen in Europe who makes quilts like crazy, but is a very supportive teacher too. http://scrappyangelquilts.blogspot.com/
And then there's mine http://sandandsunshine.blogspot.com, but I don't get much traffic. :( |
This is my favorite spot. I don't look at other peoples blogs because I have one and I've wanted to put my pics on there for so long and can't figure it out. This site is all I need. Has dedicated readers, great conversation pieces, friendships forged, wonderful advice and it doesn't cost a thing! The pictures that other people post of F******* quilts are the Coolwhip and cherries on the Sundae for me!

Ah ha! now I understand. Thanks purplemem. :D
|
I just read a few of the blogs suggested and I think that I will just stick with this forum!! This site gives me everything I need.
|
I don't remember how I got here. But I love it. Its the first place I visit when I log on!!
Great quilty stuff going on, very helpful group and also caring. Blessings, simple quilter |
Lots of time and effort goes into having a maintaining a blog. It's nice that everyone here is so supportive of our board, I'm just a little surprised no one else happily ventures into the world of blogs. I have learned many things from them. Even where, when, what, why, and how to have my daughters first hair cut. And it allows you to see the not only the creative works of each individual but their unique writting style too. If this is the lunchroom, a blog is going over to "Shelly's" house after school.

I havent ever really got into the blogs but for awhile I was hooked on browsing through Webshots for Quilts, Quilt studios or sewing rooms. Really loved seeing all the sewing room pictures!
|
My favorite is on Quiltville, it's written by Bonnie who makes all the great scrap quilt patterns and the one we did the orange crush mystery quilt with. I have to go read hers everyday.
