Has anyone used the machine quilting halo by Sharon Schamber? I need lots of help with my machine quilting, but this seems rather expensive for a piece of plastic or rubber. Does it work? And is it worth it?

It is a heavy metal ring with rubber around it. I have one and yes it does work and I love mine.

I very nearly bought one until I found out that it was only about 8 inches across If it had been 12 inches, I think I would have got it.

Not the Halo, but one that Pfaff made....it's just way to confining to me so no never use it.

Lol..I thought..yes, I have a halo, be it somewhat tarnished... but I see you're talking about THAT kind of halo..lol. No, don't have one of those but it looks interesting :)

I have one and it's great for quilting small areas at a time. I've seen some use two, one on top of the other. I like it better then the ones with foam on the bottom.

Mine's slipped and it's strangling me  I have been wondering if these are a good investment, so I shall watch with interest (whilst trying to re-instate my halo!).

No, I don't have a Halo. I use those nubby gloves, which gives me pretty good control & not confined to small areas.

I have a doodad that Eleanor Burns calls her steering wheel, but I don't use it and don't need it as I have a fab u motion so that works real well for me. I have used my steering wheel, but with some difficulty, but they do work if you make sure you machine is flat with the table meaning the bed of the machie needs to me level with the table as it won't work at all if the bed is higher than the table. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay
