I have only heard good things about Juki's but there isn't a dealer with in a days drive. If they are so great why aren't there more dealers. If I should get one are they user friendly, could I learn to use it on my own without a dealers nearby for support. Does anyone not like their Juki?

I have a Juki serger, commercial that I bought on auction sale with table and all goodies, but have not had a place to set it up yet. It worked good.

Juki is very common outside of the US. I've seen them in so many tailor shops in Morocco, where they get a heckuvah work out daily to be sure. They have a reputation for strength and durability. They make industrial machines also. They are available online more than many other machine brands, but I don't think that reflects negatively on quality at all. Patternreview.com has machine reviews and many threads on the Juki F600 Excel and others. Here in Chicago, there are a few Juki dealers at least. I'd buy a Juki anyday.

Ed sent my Juki TL98Q to me while I was in Germany. He is fabulous to work with and very helpful. There were no problems in shipping nor have I ever had a problem with mine. This is really a workhorse of a machine. They are a mechanical straight stitch machine (at least mine is) and very user friendly. I'm not sure which one you're looking for but Ed certainly would help you anyway he could.

I'm not sure why they are not more available though dealers in our towns/cities. Maybe Juki just wants specific dealers to sell their machines. Juki was headquartered in Florida somewhere (can't remember at this moment the town) but you could google them and call for any information you might need.

I have a Juki and love it. I've had it several years and only had one problem. Had a burr on the hook.
Don't know where you live in Florida but there is a dealer in Mt. Dora. It's "Sew Mini Things". They do have a website. I'm sure they would ship to you. Contact Stuart or Timm. They will be glad to help you. If you need a phone number I can get it for you.

That is good to know I googled Juki and the only ones in Florida were in Miami. I am in central Florida and Mt. Dora isn't that far. I'll be making a trip over there asap. Thanks

I just moved to Ponce Inlet in Feb. Back home in Ky for now. We will have to make arrangements to meet and maybe sew together in fall. I still go to guild in Mt. Dora twice a month when I'm there. Maybe you would like to visit. I can't seem to find a guild in Daytona area.
