Do you know this Dragonfly pattern name?
 

Found this block on pinterest - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/185773553352988597/
Followed it, google-imaged the image - I can find nothing as to the pattern name. Do you know?
I'm intrigued by it and love the 'finish' the rolled edges on body and wings give.
I'm pretty sure the wings are done in the same method as a Mexican Wedding Star curves, and the body is made with squares, folded - tacked halfway, rolled, sewn down - variation of the 10-minute block.
What do you think? Have you any info on a pattern 'name'? What size do you think this block is?

I don't know it. But I can see that there are inserted additional flaps that are brought back and tacked similar to a cathedral window block process. It should eliminate the sewing of rounded curves and add dimension. It is intriguing to look at. The bulk would be something to consider while quilting though.

I have Annette Ornelas' book also (dragonfly pattern is not included). Lots of interesting designs, all on my todo list!
