Do you know the name of this block?

I wonder if anyone knows the name of this block or how to make it?
Here is the link:

I just love this block - I think I can figure it out but I bet some of the really experienced quilters out there can tell me. Should I paper piece it or strip piece it?

Thanks so much.
Roxanne

How do I know? Because I'm in Deb's summer merry-go-round block swap.

No need to PP the block ... use the pattern that KrisB has provided for the simplest and best way to make this block! It's always a favourite, whether doing in modern , 30's or whatever prints you choose! If you're doing a scrappy, just be sure that the fabrics are of equal value to have the best effect.

Missouri Star Quilt Company has a tute to make this using a Turnover. A turnover is just a 6" triangle.

I love that block. Added to my list of things to do...

I have done it both ways. It's called Pinwheel or Double Pinwheel in most of my patterns. Here is the link to download instructions to make it in various sizes: http://www.quiltdesignnw.com/PDF/Pin...ting_chart.pdf

Thanks for that link! What a cheerful, happy-looking little pinwheel block! Please post pictures of yours when you get them all done!
