The first time I saw this pattern in 1986 was in Trudie Hughes book called Template Free Quilting. It is on the front cover and she called it Around with a Twist. In 1992, In the Beginning came out with a book with a similar pattern calling it Garden Twist. Hard to see with the fabrics being so dark.

I've made several of these quilts with Around the Twist from 1986. Love it. Just made another one recently...but got the dimensions wrong. I did an 8 inch block instead of a 6 inch block and I swear it's big enough for two beds. Trying to figure out how to reduce the size without spending hours ripping. Maybe just take a ruler and slice some off.
