O.K. I'm all hiped up after going to the quilt show Thursday and I want to go to more quilt shows!!! Could we start and share a list of quilt shows around the country or anywhere in the world for that matter? I don't travel much and seldom have knowledge of when and where there is a show but if I knew about one within, say, a two hour drive, I would certainly make an attempt to go and enjoy. What do you say? Do you know of a show coming up in the near future?

Orangeville is a large town (25,000) just over an hour drive northwest of Toronto. Southern Ontario is incredibly beautiful in the fall(all those leaves)and would be a great spot for quilters to visit. It will be a fantastic show and everyone is invited! Think I'll plan on catching all of those mentioned above...LOL Since I live in Lower Alabama (L.A.) that should be easily accomplished.

How about in the south? Any quilt shows here?

mama's place 05-18-2010 08:30 AM

Pat, there is one near Cullman in June. It is at a place called St. Bernard's College or something like that. I had gotten the info to go last year but family illnesses kept me from getting there. I'm also in Ala.
By the way, do you happen to know of store that carries Juki machines in the Alabama, FL, GA vicinity. I live below Montgomery and can't find one to try out.

Grandmama Pat 05-18-2010 09:09 AM

I've heard of the Juki name, but do not know of a dealer. Maybe if you google it, you could find one in Montgomery. Thanks for the info on the quilt show. I'll check that out. St. Bernard's College is supposed to be very pretty. I've heard that for years. I have family in Birmingham so Cullman won't be a problem for me. Pat
