there is a classic book by Ruby McKim - 101 Patchwork patterns.

I think EGG MONEY Quilts by Eleanor Burns were patterns from that era. You might just check and see. I think they still sell the book at JoAnn's fabric. GOOD LUCK !!!

There are usually a lot on eBay. People sell a lot of vintage patterns there.

Eleanor Burns has one called "Quilt in a Day Victory Quilts". It is a 1940's sampler quilts and has a small story with each block.
