I have been surfing and found some cool chenille hot pads that you can make with an Olfa Chenille cutter. I was wondering who else makes chenille projects?

I love playing with chenille, it is forgiving and you can be very creative with it :D:D:D

I make chenille projects, but I re purpose vintage chenille bedspreads to give them a second life :o)
And I never cut up a "good bedspread"! |
Very good questions, I will be happy to hear any replies. I have been looking at chenille wondering the same thing.

Ihave seen teddy bears make out of this and wondered how easy or difficult it is to work well!
|
I have never tried it - do you have to have the chenille cutter ?
|
I made a throw rug with the chenille method. I found it takes lots of fabric, time and thread. The more it was washed the better it looked. I used the chenille cutter and it worked great. When I get some time I want to make some sets for my bathroom.

I found a cool chenille bed spread at the thrift store for $7, it was queen size, and Im trying to figure out what Im going to make with it. So, Im anxious to see what you guys come up with!

I made some flannel and chenille rag quilts they are really warm.
|
I made a faux chenille jacket. I sewed each pattern piece separate and then cut the chenille and then cut the jacket pieces out and sewed the jacket together.
I don't like flannel so I used 4 layers of cotton and cut the top three layers. |
