Great tip! I will keep that in mind when I purchase fabric in the future. I too have not seen 45" wide fabric for quite awhile. :(
|
fabric widths vary from between 30" and 60"
often quilting cottons are somewhere around 40" sometimes a lucky find is 44" or 45" but it is normal to find them 36" ...54"...60" you should ALWAYS check the end of the bolt- it tells you alot more than the price! it tells you fiber content- width- thread count- manufacturer- and even washing instructions. |
FQs are getting skimpy, and in a kit it was a problem!

Thank you for the 40" fabric width advice.
When you purchase fabric it usually states that they are 44" - 45" wide - but you are right- I have been organizing my fabric & have noticed that some selvages are much wider than others It ptobably went out with the 1/2 gallon of Ice Cream - Breyer's is - I believe - is now 1.75 quarts |
