I bought mine thinking it would be for binding. But it doesn't just fold it over once. It folds it like how you would want it to make an apron or vines on a quilt. I'm bummed about it. Is there any way to make it just fold over once, with wrong sides together, like how you want it for binding? I bought it from an online store and the gal and I have become friends, and I don't want to send it back because of this. So any ideas??? Thanks, Jeanne

How do these compare to the little handheld ones like the Clover Bias Tape Maker? Anyone have one of them?

I have one, and I like it. I'd say my only complaint is that there isn't much room for a lot of rolled-up strips.

I'm thinking this would be an issue also...but...there is no reason you can't let the rest lay on the table to feed in when it's time comes...would just need to watch.

I buy clearance fabric by the yards, doesn't matter what color or print and make binding out of it cut from the lengthwise grain so I don't have to sew a lot of strips. I have a bin full of ready made binding.

this is great advice about lengthwise grain cutting...thank you.

I don't have one but have been thinking about buying one. Thanks for asking your question. It will help me decide if I want to purchase one.

You have to purchase a different tip to make the single fold binding. Our Walmart has these tips (in at least two different sizes) for something like $7 each.
