Do you own a Tin Lizzie?

Thinking about purchasing my first long arm. Found a Tin Lizzie dealer with 40 miles of my house. They seem to be very helpful and will give me the "show price" on a machine. Just wondering if anyone has one and how they like it.

I have it and when my machine works, I love it. That being said, I've had it for 10 months and it's never worked right and my dealer is awful (which wouldn't be a factor for you). I threw a (justified, IMO) hissy fit last month, contacted TL and my dealer's owner and now they're actually making an effort to get my machine working. But when it works right, it's great...

I have one and love it. As with all longarms, the hardest part is the adjusting of tension. I love my Lizzie Stitch too. Take it for a test drive before buying. I am sure your dealer will allow that. That is what sold me on it.

I have a Viking 8-18, which is manufactured by TL. It's the same model as their TL 18LS. I love it! I have had no tension issues at all and it is not fussy at all about thread. I had the dealer set it up, but haven't had any problems at all. I've had it a year next week.

I've use a Tin Lizzy at my LQS (we can rent time on it). Now mind you this is a "community" machine, so you can imagine some of the things that go wrong or have happened. I still love it. It is a work horse. I love it so much, I'm saving to buy one for ME! :)

I have the Tin Lizzie 18 LS and it was an up grade from my first TL. I haven't had any major problems. For the tension some one about a yr ago put some information on adjusting the tension on the board and it is great info. Practice is what you need to do. I'm not good at just practicing so always have worked on a quilt.

I have a Tin Lizzie and I love her!! Easy to use, and I have had great service from the company and from the dealer I purchased her from! The first year was a bear, my closest dealer was 6 hr and 2 mountain passes away. LOL I called them with so many questions and concerns that when they heard my voice say hello, they said Hi BJ! What happened! LOL

I have owned my Tin Lizzie "Mitzie" for a year this month, and after the first initial learning curve, I got to say...I LOVE HER! Now, I had no instruction or assistance from the rep, who I had known for several years , who had made a great many promises on giving instructions( Uh-huh) so between trial and error and YouTube, I have came a long way. My DH and I set her up, it took about 12 hrs and then it was play...play....curse...play and play some more. What sold my DH on her was her structure, the solid wooden frame, using ballbearing wheels instead of plastic and her motor? Anyway, test drive if you can, and with alittle patience and practise, you will fall in love with a wonderful machine.
