It is easier to use pre cut fabric but it is more expensive but it does save time. That's why people like the acquilt. But cant justify the cost.

I bought a pre-cut kit for a table runner from ebay. There was plenty of fabric and all the squares were cut for me. The pattern called for half-square triangles to make the stars but all the squares were cut the same size and the half square triangles came out too small. I was disappointed. I ended up improvising with the remaining squares.

I have purchased one kit for a baby quilt when I first started. and I have purchased a kit for a childs outfit, because I loved the fabrics in the ad.
I prefer to use my own fabrics and put something together.
