Do you put cord bindings on your quilt with the regular binding
Do you use a cord very often when you do your binding on your quilts?
If so, how big of cord do you like? Thanks. |
i have with very small cord (roman shade cord the larger of the 2 they have at from Joann)

No cord bindings for me.

I just did my first one with very thin cord. I liked it and it wasn't hard which surprised me.
|
No, I've never used cord with my binding. Is the purpose of the cord to make a piping binding?
|
Sounds like it would look good when it was completed. Something to think about.

Can we see a picture I am unable to picture the look.

I have Susan Cleveland's Piping Hot Binding tool, and she recommends a 1mm size drapery cord. It's a synthetic cord, not cotton. I just recently bought the 1.8 mm cord from JoAnn's--it was the closest they had in size. I haven't used it yet, though. Hope this size works in the groove of the tool. We'll see....

I don't have a picture of one with cord piping. I have not made one, yet. I saw a tutorial with cording and thought it was cool. Just wondering if some of you do that and if you were pleased.

Nope. Never have and don't plan on it, at least for now. Good luck!
