Have a Blessed day Ellen |
Yes, what else is there to do but be HOT. We are running from 95 to over 100 every day.

As former teaching assistant the summers have been my time to catch up with sewing, quilting etc. However.... look out world, no more school.... I will miss the kiddos

I am quilting MUCH more in the summer. I teach at a university and can adjust my mid-May to mid-August schedule to allow some days at home during the week. I have made three quilt tops in three weeks and quilted and finished a fourth quilt that had been waiting for my attention since ....January. I am just enjoying all the time I have at my machine!

I do some quilting during the summer at home but we do a lot of tent camping and traveling and I don't bring my quilting along. My quilts always smell like smoke from the camp fire and also had a Blue jay that had been eating blue barries drop a load and ended up with a stain on my quilt I was working on. Rather do my quilting at home.

Oh heavens no. I can't find near as much time to quilt in the summer and early fall. Between yard and pool work and then the grandkids halloween costume, I get pretty busy. Really look forward to early to mid October when I get more quit time!

Is it only me or does the nice summer days have you outside more than in? At night i am too tired to try to be creative. I hate to wish for a rainy day, but that's the only way to stay inside and sew. Am i the only one????

I quilt more in the summer - school's out and my job is not as pressure-filled and I can take more time off.

I probably quilt more in the summer. It is too HOT to spend much time outside then. And there is more going on here in the winter. It is a ghost town in my neighborhood right now as all the snowbirds have gone.
We have been lucky this spring as it has been cooler than normal but they predict a very hot summer. |
