Do you recognize this block?
There is a picture of some English paper pieced blocks here that I admire but reading through the comments at the bottom there is no listing for where a pattern might be found. Was wondering if any of you might be familiar with this and could direct me. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks,

here is the maker's website... you might contact her to ask

Perhaps ask your question on the thread about those EPP blocks?
There are so many possibilities, so it really is not easy to know what you want. Otherwise, you could let Google be your friend! |
They are English paper pieced PENTAGONS (not to be confused with EPP hexagons) I googled paper pieced pentagons and got lots of sites and also places to order the papers

Most of the pieces are pentagons but if you look close, the center piece is a hexagon.

If you take the link above and then select Pentagons & Variations on the left hand side you will see several choices. In the photo ncredbird linked to it looks to me that they have used two rounds of Stretched Pentagons around a central Hexagon.
This may just get me interested in paper piecing again. The last time I tried it was in the 1970's and that was just with hexagons - I found it so time consuming I just never had the time to really do it, but having just retired I might give it another go! |
Think I recall seeing it named Arkansas Star.
