I just about always wear a t-shirt when quilting and my clipped threads love to ride on my shoulder until I remove them to the trash.

I made myself one of the thread catchers that hangs by my machine. It really helps to corral most of my thread clippings.

In the past I threw them on the floor and One day my chair would not roll anymore and it took a few hours for my DH and I to dig out all the tread that was caught in the wheels. I think I learned a lesson. Sometimes I forget!!

I toss them toward the bag... but since they are are featherweights, the float in the air and miss the bag.. :D

Remember in the spring when birds are finding their homes, they actually will use your used thread to build nest! I always put a little mounds on the bannister on our deck so they will grab it. I guess it makes it soft :)

I just got done cutting seams off 6 large totes of clothing for quilts I am making of a friends clothing she saved from her mother when she passed. I don't know what life would be like if I didn't have to go through the de-threading each morning before I leave for work. At night the threads do a dance and land all over my floor and chairs when I am sleeping. No other way to explain it.

I don't mean to...but thats what happens. I have caught myself doing it. I just get so focused on what I'm doing I don't pay attention to that kinda stuff. =)

Depends on how frustrated I am. I have a thread catcher but if I'm doing a lot of ripping they go on the floor.
