My oldest daughter and I have sewn together on a few small projects. For her wedding my mother, MIL, daughter and I worked together to make her a double wedding ring quilt. My youngest daughter likes quilts but has no interest in learning to quilt. I have begun teaching three of our grandchildren (ages 6,8, and 12) to sew quilt tops. The youngest GD and I sewed her quilt top during the Christmas holidays. I will post a picture when it comes back from the quilters.

Out of four children, none sew. One daughter CAN sew, it just isn't her thing. Both daughters are into crafting, Stampin'Up. One daughter designs wedding announcements, things like that. They just don't like to sew. Actually, I didn't take up quilting until I had retired so there's hope. My two boys can sew on a button if they have to. I have one granddaughter, age 9, who got her own sewing machine last Christmas and is making small quilts. She loves to free motion quilt. So maybe someone in my family will carry on after me.
