Hi all, this is the first time I have uploaded a picture so fingers crossed. Does anyone know the name and where I can get the instructions for this quilt.
Thank you all so much. |

I believe this is the kleidoscope block.
Fons and Porter has a free pattern for it here http://www.freequiltpatterns.info/fo...cy-mahoney.htm Hope this is what you are looking for. |

Kaleidoscope!
Use this block name to search for templates / tutorials. I found it in Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!! by McClun and Nownes |
And once you find the instructions, take a good look at how the fabric values (lights & darks) were used in the block to create those secondary & tertiary patterns.
It's a very versatile block, and you can change the lock of the quilt easily by playing around with the value placement of the patches. |
yes, it's a kaleidoscope pattern. Like MTS, I'd recommend paying attention to how you place your lights/darks within the block itself. It may be helpful to find a line drawing so you can color it in and see how you will want to place your fabrics to create those lovely circle patterns within the pattern.
Good luck. |
