does anyone have a link for the eq6 software?

I have EQ7 and love, love, love it! If you do spend the money on it..do take the time to learn to use it. It isn't hard and its well worth the money, time and effort! Its also tons of fun!

I have eq 5 and upgraded to eq 6 and was wondering what does eq 7 have that 5 & 6 do not have. What are the advantages to upgrading to eq 7?

I bought EQ7 and have used it to make 2 quilt tops already, and I am designing 2 more from my stash that I have scanned into my EQ7 libary. I spent close to $200 for it but it has saved me a lot of time and energy. It is not that hard to use and I love using my stash to see what my quilt will look like before I cut out all the pieces. It's been great fun.

I have Quilt Pro. It was cheaper at the time, than EQ. Sounds like EQ is better, but I have just used it to figure out how much fabric I would need and maybe print out a lay-out of the quilt to help figure where to put colors or how many of each strip I need for the quilt. It is faster than drawing on paper....So it helps...

I got EQ7 this past summer and have spent some time learning how to use it. Time well spent I might add. I now know how much fabric of each color to buy before I get it and can scan my stash to see if I have enough of that color before heading to the LQS. One of the quilts I made before I relied on the sales clerk to know how much fabric I needed. I ended up making two more trips and then still didn't have enough for the fancy border so ended up making a plain border. By that time I cut out all of the fabric the border fabric I needed was no longer available.

I have a Mac and keep checking to see if EQ has yet developed a version for us. I've toyed with getting Parallel PC and Windows and then buying EQ but this seems like a lot of money and effort...

Quiltmaker software is made by Electric Quilt and each volume has 500+ quilting designs, there are 7 volumes to date, I think but not positive it concides with the Quiltmaker magazine. Some of them are stand alone programs but are also compatiable with EQ. I also bought most of mine off E-Bay for around $20.
